Glass Studio for Hire
The Denizen Glass Studio is available for half-day and full-day hire by glass working professionals.
Denizen is one of the few full glass-blowing studios for hire (or even operating) in the Northern Beaches, or Sydney. It is one of the longest continuously running studios in Sydney, having been operating since 1991.
The studio has great lighting, including window lighting, and excellent ventilation. Road access and parking are both good.
The studio is situated at: Denizen Glass Studio, 8 Girard Street (Up Ramp), North Manly NSW 2100
Glass Studio Hire Inclusions
Please note; all hire rates listed below are exclusive of GST.
The studio is booked as 4 hour sessions. There is a minimum of 1 x 4 hour session per booking.
The studio is available for booking Monday to Friday, or Saturday by negotiation.
Session times are;

Alternative or extended times may be available based upon discussion, however, our primary concern is safety.
Session hire rates are based upon the selection of glory hole size, plus additional equipment or glass usage.
Hot work hire includes free use of;
- Up to 15kg of clear glass
- Pastorelli and forks
- Optic moulds
- Blocks and paddles
- Hand torch and oxy/crack off torch
- Colour box
- Pick up ovens
- Various hand tools

1 x annealing lehr (sized 500 x 500 x 1000mm)
with removable stainless steel shelving
Cold work equipment includes;
- Sandblaster
- Diamond flatbed grinder
- Grinding lathe
- Polishing lathe
Please note; cold work equipment hire does not include consumables.

Conditions of Studio Hire
Hire of our glassworking studio is intended for experienced glass artists and technicians only.
As such, our conditions of hire include;
- You should be experienced.
- You will be required to show an up-to-date copy of your Public Liability insurance.
- Only clear glass is included in studio hire. All colour must be supplied by you. No colour is available for purchase from the studio.
- Please supply your own dust mask or other PPE.
- Minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellation. A 30% cancellation fee will be charged for less notice.
